Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years in Parts Counter, Parts Warehouse, or related.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment or manufacturing parts department preferred.
• Background in Heavy Equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating and purchasing parts for their machine needs.
• Process orders and quote requests, invoicing shipped parts and submitting backorders.
• Expedite backordered parts with vendors or alternate suppliers as needed.
• Process all parts returns and file vendor claims.
• Assist in receiving and cycle counts as needed.
• Maintain a clean showroom and logs of quotes and lost sales.
• Attend training classes to stay current on parts programs.

Job Details: Job Location: El Paso - El Paso, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00Hourly, Job Category: Sales, As a Parts Counter for Power Motive Corporation, you will play a vital role in our parts departments overall success. The Parts Counter is responsible for assisting customers and our service technicians in identifying, ordering, and purchasing the correct parts for heavy equipment, while maintaining accurate inventory and providing excellent customer service. This role is essential for keeping the service department running smoothly, ensuring parts availability, and maximizing customer satisfaction. It blends retail sales, technical support, and inventory control, making it a critical operational position in our heavy equipment dealership.

Essential Functions

• Assist customers in locating and purchasing parts for their machine needs.
• Process orders and quote requests from customers, PSSR’s and Service Technicians. Perform daily invoicing for shipped parts as well as submit purchase orders for backordered parts.
• If need be, expedite backordered parts with their respective vendor or alternate supplier on a as needed basis.
• Processes all parts returns- both shop returns and customer returns. Files all claims with vendors.
• Helps receiving on an as need basis. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Attends training classes to stay current on parts programs.
• Assists in cycle count and any department projects as deemed necessary.
• Maintain a clean showroom.
• Tracks all parts sales and lost sales. Maintains logs of customer quotes and lost deals.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2-4 years working in Parts, Parts Counter, Parts Warehouse
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suites
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms preferred
• Experience working in a a heavy equipment or manufacturing parts department preferred
• Background in Heavy Equipment preferred
