Job summary

Sugar Foods Corporation in Villa Rica, GA is seeking a Parts Clerk to manage inventory, procure parts, and support shop personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include reconciling physical and perpetual inventory, issuing parts to work orders, processing purchase orders, maintaining files, and performing cycle counts. Candidates should have 2–5 years in a parts room, HS diploma, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Proficient with data entry.
• Previous knowledge and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile physical and perpetual parts inventory levels.
• Request parts and supplies from internal and external sources.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and remove out of code products.
• Maintain accurate files and logbooks.
• Respond quickly and accurately to part requests from shop personnel.
• Issue parts from inventory to work orders.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors.
• Process warranty cores for return.
• Cycle counts of parts inventory.
• Review purchase orders and posting invoices.

Position Summary for the Parts Room Clerk

Sugar Foods operates food manufacturing, packaging, and distribution facilities to serve over 5,000 customers. The stability of our processes, and the consistency and quality of our products depends upon the proper functioning of our machines and equipment. Accurate inventory of parts, effective planning for purchasing and storage, and timely response for parts requests from personal is essential to our mission.

18 years or older

Authorized to work in the USA

2 - 5 years experience working in parts room in a manufacturing environment
