Job summary

Astec is seeking a General Laborer to support fabrication and assembly in our Eugene, Oregon facility. The role involves moving between departments, performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks, and assisting machine operators as needed.

This on-site position requires physical work, adherence to PPE requirements, and reliable attendance. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, forklift experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment with bending, stooping and crawling.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare production areas.
• Assist other workers on-site with various jobs.
• Handle and transport needed materials.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.
• Comply with all safety protocols to ensure safety.
• Assist machine operators with loading/unloading material.
• Cleans, sorts and stages parts within Material Prep area.
• Assist production workers by supplying or sorting materials.
• Cleans designated areas by sweeping and wiping surfaces.
• Maintains open communication with supervisor.
