Volvo Cars Westport is seeking to hire a Retail Parts Counterman

As our Parts Counterman, you will be responsible for assisting mechanics and/or customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. The Parts Counterman is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts. This is a union position with full benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
• Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock.
• Placing orders with the manufacturer
• Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and collision repair shop.
• Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and completing the appropriate record keeping.
• Utilizing parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.

The Parts Advisor is responsible for ensuring parts availability to our customers while efficiently overseeing the dealership’s investment. as part of your passionate commitment to customer satisfaction, You are also responsible for supporting parts and accessory sales, facilitating shipping and receiving, filling part orders and processing returns.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

As an Automotive Parts Counterman, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. Other requirements:

• At least 2 years of dealership experience.
• Must have computer experience.
• Team oriented while being able to maintain a high level of customer service
• Candidates must pass pre-employment screening including drug test, background and driver's license check
