Parts Advisor Job Description

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide clear, efficient communication regarding customer parts status and updates.
• Read and understand parts catalogs to identify specific parts accurately.
• Handle phone calls, provide price quotes, and offer other relevant information to customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock while maintaining weekly bin checks for accuracy.
• Alert the Parts Manager to out-of-stock parts or materials that need urgent attention.
• Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders when necessary.
• Ensure all parts requests are billed correctly on service repair orders.
• Collect payment from retail customers or obtain necessary credit authorization.
