Job summary

Whitley Penn, a leading audit, tax, and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Fort Worth team. The Tax Manager will supervise associates, manage multiple client engagements, and ensure timely, accurate tax returns and projections.

CPA license is required, with strong technical tax knowledge and client-facing leadership. Responsibilities include planning, staffing, staff development, and coordinating engagement workflow while delivering exceptional client service and identifying

• Active CPA license and strong knowledge of tax law.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and client expectations.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of engagements including supervision of staff.
• Prepare/review Form 1065, 1040, 1120 series tax returns and estimates.
• Research tax issues to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
• Delegate and manage examinations with tax authorities as needed.
• Maintain client relationships and identify value-added services.
