Job summary

Teach For America Connecticut is seeking a Managing Director of Partnerships to build and steward coalitions with schools, districts, and organizations to drive statewide impact. You will set vision for school partnership strategy and lead alliances that share our mission across Connecticut.

The role requires 7+ years in education nonprofits, a Bachelor's degree, and strong communication. Travel across CT, recruitment support, and managing contracts/alumni programs will advance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of professional experience in schools, districts, or mission‑driven nonprofits serving under‑resourced communities.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend commitments.
• Ability to travel for in‑person meetings throughout Connecticut and occasionally to other states.

Responsibilities

• Build and deepen partnerships with districts, networks, and schools to advance shared goals.
• Lead corps member placement and hiring alignment with school needs.
• Foster alumni engagement with Teach For America Connecticut’s mission.
• Create and finalize contracts with partners, including data sharing agreements.
