Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Irvine seeks an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization for a fast track to partnership. The role offers a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance to support the right candidate as you lead engagements and grow the government practice.

Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, signing attest opinions when appropriate, overseeing all phases of engagements, mentoring staff and driving new business with a strong focus

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of public accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior manager role.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools).
• CPA license current and valid.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and firm locations.
• Proven ability to bring in new business and manage engagements under GAAS/Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and possess thorough knowledge of client operations.
• Serve as engagement partner or report to the engagement partner as per policy.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner.
• Oversee all phases of engagements and ensure compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Identify issues and implement solutions after partner consultation.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and staffed.
• Act as subject matter expert in government sector and oversee billing/collections.
• Supervise staff, provide on-the-job training, and review work papers.
