Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Partner level attorney to lead our Workers' Compensation defense practice in North Carolina. You will represent clients through all litigation stages, develop defense strategies, and drive settlements while managing a high-volume caseload.

Ideal candidates have a JD, NC license, 8+ years of WC defense, and a portable file base of 50+. Strong negotiation, writing, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
  • 8+ years of workers' compensation defense experience.
  • Portable business with at least 50 transferrable case files.
  • Proven defense strategies and successful resolutions.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Team player and independent worker.
  • High integrity and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
  • Develop and implement defense strategies and negotiate settlements.
  • Handle a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Provide legal advice, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
  • Participate in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and assistants to work efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.

Job Details
  • Representing our clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
  • Developing and implementing defense strategies and negotiating settlements.
  • Handling a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Providing legal advice to our clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations.
  • Participating in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
  • Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
