Jobot in Raleigh, NC seeks a Partner specializing in workers' compensation defense to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and a track record in defense strategies.

Responsibilities include representing clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation, developing defense strategies, and negotiating settlements, while collaborating with attorneys and staff to manage a high-volume caseload.

Qualifications

JD from a accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
8+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
Portable business with at least 50 transferrable files.
Proven track record of successful defense outcomes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Representing clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
Developing and implementing defense strategies and negotiating settlements.
Handling a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.
Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings and motions.
Providing legal advice to clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations.
Participating in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
