Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Charlotte, NC seeks a Workers' Compensation Attorney to represent injured employees in North Carolina cases at Deputy Commissioner, Full Commission, and Court of Appeals levels.

You will draft pleadings and briefs, negotiate settlements, supervise Case Managers and Paralegals, and provide skilled advocacy across all stages of the Workers' Compensation Act.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Workers' Compensation or insurance defense firm.
  • Experience with complex Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent injured employees in NC workers' compensation cases.
  • Provide legal advice and representation during all case stages.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, orders, and motions.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements and releases.
  • Draft briefs for the NC Industrial Commission and Court of Appeals.
  • Oversee and manage Case Managers and Paralegals.
  • Litigate at Deputy Commissioner, Full Commission, and Court of Appeals levels.

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Attorney in Charlotte, NC to represent injured employees in North Carolina Workers' Compensation cases at various judicial levels.

Duties
  • Represent injured employees in NC workers' compensation cases.
  • Provide legal advice and representation during all case stages.
  • Assist clients in obtaining benefits under the NC Workers' Compensation Act.
  • Litigate cases at Deputy Commissioner, Full Commission, and Court of Appeals levels.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, orders, and motions.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements and releases.
  • Draft briefs for various levels of the NC Industrial Commission and Court of Appeals.
  • Oversee and manage Case Managers and Paralegals.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Workers' Compensation or insurance defense firm.

  • Experience with Litify software is preferred.
