Fisher Phillips in Portland, ME seeks a Mid-Senior Litigation Associate with 4+ years of defense-side complex litigation and/or employment litigation experience. The ideal candidate will independently manage sophisticated matters and help grow an employment law practice with firm support.

Qualifications

• Significant complex litigation experience, from inception to resolution.
• Strong academic credentials and writing ability.
• Interest in developing an employment law practice and growth mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a busy, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and responding to pleadings.
• Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy.
• Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Preparing witnesses and strategies for trials, hearings or depositions.
• Leading or participating in mediations and trials, mentoring junior attorneys.
