Location Jersey City, United States Sector Other Salary $150,000.00 to $190,000.00 per annum

We are working on behalf of a privately owned veterinary group that is opening a brand new small animal general practice in Jersey City, NJ, and is looking for a Founding Veterinarian to lead it.

This is a newly renovated, modern facility with four exam rooms, a dedicated X-ray room, and a dedicated surgery room, along with a large reception and generous back of house space. As the founding doctor, you will be the first and leading veterinarian on site, with the opportunity to shape clinical workflows, standards, and culture from day one. You will practice full spectrum general practice, including wellness and preventive care, sick visits, basic internal medicine workups, and routine soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Experienced technicians and reception will be in place from opening, and more veterinarians will be added over time as the caseload grows.

Because this is a new clinic, the schedule will be built around you to begin with, with a full time commitment of roughly four to five days per week and clinic hours designed together with ownership. The practice sits in the Journal Square area, about 20 minutes from Manhattan, which makes it a strong fit for anyone drawn to living in or near the city. Ownership is financially experienced with a clear growth plan, and the role is structured as a long term, partnership style relationship rather than a standard associate position. On top of a competitive base salary, there is profit sharing on your own services and the potential to participate in the wider success of the clinic as it grows.

About You

• DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
• You hold, or are eligible for, licensure in New Jersey
• A few years of general practice experience, confident working as the sole veterinarian initially

• Leadership minded, interested in practice building rather than a clock in, clock out role
