Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-Time Human Service Worker for the Stride after-school program in Eagle Mountain, Utah. This onsite role pays $17.50–$22.17/hour and focuses on supporting children aged 5–12 in a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, teaching coping skills, and collaborating with therapists, families, and staff to promote positive development and community success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
• Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
• Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support and supervision to children participating in the program.
• Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines.
• Help children develop social, emotional, behavioral, and coping skills.
• Model positive behavior, communication, boundaries, and healthy coping strategies.
• Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe, structured environment.
• Observe and document client interactions, progress, and behaviors.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, families, and other team members.
• Encourage children as they build confidence, independence, and skills for success at home, school, and in the community.
