Job summary

YMCA seeks a part-time Sports Coordinator to help develop, implement, and evaluate youth sports programs under the Youth Development Director. The role includes support for adult leagues, summer camps, clinics and related events, with a focus on safety, marketing and community outreach.

Responsibilities include field prep, sponsorship outreach, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with abuse risk policies.

Qualifications

• High-School diploma or related experience required.
• Minimum one year of experience in quality youth sports programs.
• Must learn YMCA programs, philosophies and mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of youth sports.
• Support special events, marketing, planning and clinics.
• Lead youth summer sports programming with others.
• Monitor field and facility conditions and pre-game prep.
• Maintain clean and organized facilities, storage areas, and offices.
• Provide supervision and training on abuse risk and safety.
