Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Soccer Instructor for the ComEd Recreation Center in Chicago, IL. This part-time hourly role involves developing curriculum and delivering soccer instruction to children aged 3-13 with parent participation.

The position requires at least one year of teaching experience, the ability to create a positive and safe learning environment, and strong communication with parents and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year teaching experience.
• Experience working with students ages 1-5.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Early childhood experience not required, but preferred.
• Ability to maintain a positive and SAFE environment for all students.
• Be able to communicate with parents and guests.
• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Instructs scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate and effective lessons.
• Prepares detailed lesson plans and activities.
• Leads the instruction of soccer participants, according to the approved lesson plan, in a fun environment while teaching specific soccer techniques.
• Ensures that the team has adequate equipment for practices and games including soccer balls, nets, cones, etc.
• Maintains a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for both participants, guests, and parents.
• Ensures safety standards are met and department/facility policies are adhered.
