Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Soccer Specialist for its after-school program in New York City. The seasonal role involves providing targeted, age-appropriate instruction and mentorship to youth, coordinating with program leadership, and ensuring safety during activities.

Hours are 9-15 per week, Monday through Friday 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm, in NYC public schools. Prior coaching experience with youth and ability to follow a curriculum are required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in soccer instruction for youth.
• Ability to follow an established curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfort with moving around school facilities and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Motivate students to be active daily and participate in activities.
• Deliver age-appropriate lessons with clear goals per the guide.
• Coordinate with program leadership on schedules and events.
• Enforce safety rules and proper use of equipment.
• Adapt activities to safety and space constraints.
• Support during Academic hours as needed.
