Job summary

Lad Lake, Inc. is seeking a part-time Skills Development Specialist to engage with youth in the community across SE Wisconsin counties, including Waukesha. You will conduct weekly activities aligned with individual goals and serve as a trusted coach and advocate to support personal growth, development, and social outcomes.

The role involves evening/weekend hours, travel, and staying within the program guidelines while building strong relationships with families and county staff.

Qualifications

• You must be 21 or older.
• Proof of degrees, certifications, and specific skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of auto liability insurance (100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury and 100,000 Property Damage).
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Model behavior and be a role model.
• Provide quality activities aligned with client goals.
• Build trust through commitment and consistency.
• Encourage the child to reach their full potential.
• Maintain open communication with families, supervisors, and county staff.
• Attend Plan of Care meetings and monthly supervision.
• Enter case notes for each meeting.
• Report any criminal activity, abuse, or unusual happenings to supervision or county crisis line.
• Meet Lad Lake training requirements.
