The First Episode Psychosis (FEP) Program at Child and Family Focus is a Coordinated Specialty Care approach for youths who recently experienced their first psychosis episode. The FEP Team provides peer support, education, and case management to empower self-directed recovery and reintegration.

The Certified Peer Specialist will advocate for youth, assist in treatment planning, and help them build skills for independence while coordinating with care teams and communities. Hours: 20 per week.

Qualifications

• Certified as a peer specialist (CPS) from a certified training program.
• Able to manage your own recovery from psychosis or similar challenges.
• Ability to share your story in a way that provides hope and encouragement.

Responsabilités

• Provide peer counseling and support to individuals seeking to enhance quality of life.
• Identify community supports and help youth access activities and events.
• Utilize recovery experience to facilitate treatment planning.
• Document progress using a computer in line with program guidelines.
• Attend trainings to maintain CPS certification.
• Transport clients to appointments as needed.
