Job summary

The City of Flagstaff is seeking a Youth Services Library Specialist to bridge the library with young patrons and families. You will offer reference help, reader's advisory and lead engaging story times across age groups in a lively youth space.

You will curate materials, develop programs, and partner with staff to deliver early literacy and educational activities that grow a love of reading and learning in the community.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two years of college level coursework.
• Two years of library experience including one year with online resources and circulation software.
• Valid Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference assistance and reader's advisory for children, teens and families.
• Plan and lead story times, crafts, clubs and educational workshops.
• Select and manage age-appropriate materials and programs for youth.
