Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is seeking four year-round Program Leads to support youth programming in the Gym, Education Room, Games Room, and Art Room at various Vancouver locations. The role is part-time with afternoon shifts and involves direct work with elementary-age youth.

Ideal candidates will hold a high school diploma, be 18+, pass required background checks, and value teamwork, safety, and positive youth development. Benefits include holidays, EAP, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a national criminal background check, a social security verification, a local criminal background check, and a national sex offender registry check.
• Prior experience working with youth is preferred.
• This role requires physical activity, including standing, moving, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities that are fun, age-appropriate, and inclusive.
• Align activities with program goals and outcome areas.
• Use conflict resolution and restorative practices to manage behavior.
• Supervise youth to ensure safety and engagement.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with fellow Youth Development Professionals, volunteers, and Club Management to deliver high-quality programming.
• Work directly with youth in grades 1 through 5 to support positive development and engagement.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and program quality.
