Job summary

TOGETHER! is seeking a part-time Club House Facilitator to supervise students, plan and lead project-based activities, and support volunteers across North Thurston School District sites. The role includes evening/weekend commitments and potential travel, with a focus on equity and inclusive practices.

You will help assess student needs, facilitate engaging programming, and collaborate with Site Coordinator to ensure high-quality youth activities in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of volunteer and/or professional experience working with young people.
• Current First Aid and/or CPR certification, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Bilingual - Spanish/English (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision of students during program, including mealtime, homework, enrichment, recreation, and transitions.
• Plan and facilitate project-based academic and recreational activities with support from Site Coordinator.
• Assess students’ needs and interests to design effective programming.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly program trainings.
• Assist in developing students’ cognitive capacity, increasing academic skill development and respect for learning, foster students’ self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
• Provide direction and encouragement to volunteers and community partners.
• Use YPQI based methods of positive behavior management with guidance from Facilitators and Site Coordinator.
• Participate in youth program quality self-assessment, goal-setting, and other youth program quality meetings and tasks.
• Serve as positive conflict mediator and follow procedures for reporting incidents.
• Always maintain professional conduct.
• Read and comply with TOGETHER!’s Board of Directors policies.
