Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Toppenish, WA is seeking a Part-Time 21st CCLC Youth Development Specialist at Kirkwood Elementary School. You will collaborate with the 21st Century Teacher and Site Supervisor to deliver activities that boost Reading and Mathematics achievement, aligned with state standards where possible.

This role requires building a positive classroom environment, completing attendance and achievement documentation, and supporting program evaluation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Teaching preferred.
• 1+ years of experience with youth; 2 years preferred.
• First Aid and CPR within 30 days of hire.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication.
• Ability to create safe learning environments and positive discipline.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of PBIS.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Works with the 21st Century Teacher and Site Supervisor to create and deliver activities to increase student reading and math achievement.
• Works with 21st Century Teacher to complete activity sheets and lesson plans with measurable objectives, aligned with standards.
• Compiles and completes documentation for attendance, achievement, discipline and demographics.
• Monitors, documents, and reports academic and behavioral impact of activities.
• Collaborates to maintain a positive classroom environment and student behavior in line with state law and district policy.
• Completes monthly/annual documentation for program evaluation.
• Participates in staff development and mandated trainings.
• Assists in creating and distributing media materials (brochures, flyers, social media).
