Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Teaching preferred.
• 1 year of experience facilitating youth programs is required.
• 2 years of experience facilitating youth programs preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not eligible for bilingual differential pay).
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Ability to create a safe learning environment and exercise good judgment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic tech.
• Knowledge of PBIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the 21st Century Teacher and Site Supervisor to design activities that boost Reading and Math achievement.
• Prepare activity sheets and lesson plans aligned with standards (Common Core or National Science).
• Document attendance, achievement, discipline, and demographics for evaluation.
• Monitor and report on academic and behavioral impact of activities.
• Foster a positive classroom environment in line with state law and school policies.
• Complete monthly/annual program documentation for evaluation.
• Attend staff development and mandated trainings as required.
• Assist in creating and distributing media (brochures, flyers, social media).
