Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver (BGCMD) is hiring a Youth Development Professional to supervise and support programs across Athletics, Arts, Education, STEM, and Teen areas.

You will work 18 hours per week, primarily at a club location in Denver, engaging youth with trauma-informed practices and mentoring. CPR/First Aid and related trainings are required within the stated timeframe.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and youth development experience.
  • Experience working with children and/or teens.
  • Ability to supervise groups of youth and maintain active supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with different age groups, teams, in Club environments, and program areas.
  • Ability to independently follow written schedules, lesson plans, safety procedures, and onsite direction.
  • Strong English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement engaging, high-quality program offerings that align with positive youth development and trauma-informed practices.
  • Support the Club Director’s vision of a welcoming, youth-centered Club culture and mentorship.
  • Build strong relationships with members and provide guidance and support.
  • Participate in training weeks and professional development opportunities.
  • Transport members to activities and assist with light cleaning and organizing.
