Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a Youth Development Leader for before/after-school and day camp programs. You will create a safe, fun, and enriching environment where youth feel supported, valued, and excited to learn.

Requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and 6 months’ experience with youth. CPR/First Aid/AED training preferred; free YMCA membership, program discounts, paid training, and leadership growth are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe, engaged, and accounted for at all times.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and support daily operations.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
