Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to join our before/after-school and day camp programs. You will foster a safe, engaging environment where children learn and grow under supportive guidance.

This part-time role offers meaningful interaction with youth, families, and staff, plus opportunities for professional development and future leadership growth within our mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• As a Youth Development Leader, you’ll bring energy and compassion to before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Help create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth.
• Lead activities and ensure supervision and safety according to YMCA policies.
