Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support after-school programming in Muskegon, MI. This part-time hourly role offers up to 25 hours per week under the Site Supervisor, focusing on safe, engaging youth activities and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality BGCA programs, orienting new members, promoting learning center participation, and supporting staff with program development and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Must submit three professional references.
• Must successfully complete a background check, fingerprinting, and reference check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, promotes, and delivers high-quality BGCA programming for students.
• Creates an environment that facilitates BGCA Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promotes learning center program participation and special events.
• Orients new members to program area, safety, and rules.
• Provides guidance and role modeling to members.
• Uses trauma-informed, equity-based behavior modification approaches.
• Implements, monitors and evaluates programs and activities for members.
• Maintains records to track attendance and participation.
• Maintains supervision and a positive club environment.
• Collaborates with club staff and external groups as needed.
