Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide intensive, individualized mental health interventions in home, school, and community settings for children and adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses.

The role is non-exempt, part time hourly, and supports an interdisciplinary treatment team under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Responsibilities include implementing treatment goals, using sound clinical interventions, and offering

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training
• Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services
• Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization
• Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
• Reimbursement based on education and experience
• Proficient using Microsoft Office and database systems; experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus
• Must be extremely organized
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, flexible, and able to work independently
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus but not required
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance coverage

• Implement treatment plans and goals under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional
