Job summary

SHIAWASSEE Community Foundation in Owosso is seeking a part-time Youth Advisory Council Advisor/Creative Assistant for our downtown office.

You will educate middle/high school YAC members about the grant-making process and youth philanthropy, help them set and achieve goals, develop print materials (annual report, brochures, invitations, newsletters), and regularly update the foundation’s website and social media.

Responsibilities

• Educate Youth Advisory Council members (middle school–high school) about the grant-making process and youth philanthropy.
• Set goals for the Youth Advisory Council and assist students in accomplishing those goals.
• Assist with development of print materials including the annual report, brochures, invitations, electronic communications, newsletters and form letters.
• Regularly update the foundation’s website and other social media.
