Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer X Ray Detection Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will protect clients across industries, perform screening, and respond to security incidents while maintaining professional communication.

This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to advance within a leading security services company. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background checks, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect packages, belongings, and/or shipments as directed, escalating prohibited items, irregularities, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
