Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves operating X-ray screening equipment, monitoring access points, and delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while maintaining a secure environment.

As a part-time Screener, you will work with a flexible schedule on a variety of shifts using our Claim a Shift platform. The position emphasizes safety, integrity, and teamwork within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen people, packages, and property entering designated areas and report irregularities to site leadership.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of items as assigned.
• Respond to incidents calmly and involve appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
