Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
• In good academic standing for the duration of employment.
• In good conduct standing with GGC.
• Completed ENGL 1102 with strong writing record.

Responsibilities

• Meet with corequisite 1101/0999 students to discuss assignments, brainstorm ideas, and respond to drafts.
• Explain prompts, rubrics, and instructor feedback.
• Model organization, development, sentence clarity, and revision strategies without writing papers for students.
• Support using D2L and other course tools.
• Encourage repeat visits and student ownership of learning.
• Complete session notes and maintain records of visits.
• Uphold academic integrity and confidentiality.
• Attend tutor training and meetings.
