Part-time Workforce Non-Credit Program Specialist
Description

Southeastern Illinois College is seeking a part‑time Workforce Non‑Credit Program Specialist. This position is up to 28 hours per week and is responsible for providing oversight and support for the ICCB Workforce Non‑Credit Grant. The specialist will assist with researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating non‑credit workforce programs while ensuring accurate grant reporting and compliance. The specialist will also support activities related to workforce and community education initiatives as directed by the Associate Dean of Workforce and Community Education.

  • Collaborate with Workforce and Community Education staff to develop surveys, outreach plans, and employer engagement strategies to expand non‑credit training opportunities.
  • Work with residents, faculty, social service agencies, and business representatives to identify workforce needs and assist in the development of non‑credit programs.
  • Maintain detailed timesheets documenting time spent on grant‑related activities.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of non‑credit to credit pathways.
  • Support additional grant‑related activities as assigned by the Associate Dean of Workforce and Community Education.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of records for non‑credit courses and prepare reports for federal, state, and local entities.
  • Assist with budget planning and management of grant funds in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Workforce and Community Education.
  • Participate in college and community events throughout the year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in education, vocational education, or a related field.
  • Required: Associate degree in a related field, or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
