Job summary

Rowan College of South Jersey seeks a Part-time Assistant Women's Softball Coach (2nd Assistant) to support the Head Coach in developing and maintaining a successful women's softball program on the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners.

Responsibilities include recruiting, practice planning, in-season/off-season training, game management, safety, transportation, fundraising, and community relations. A strong team player with coaching or playing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Past playing and/or coaching experience in softball is required.
• Associates degree is required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of potential student-athletes
• Practice preparation
• In and out-of season training
• Game/match day management
• Retention of quality student-athletes
• Ensure the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
• Safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
• Adherence to NJCAA, Region 19, RCSJ and Athletic Department rules and regulations
• Assist Head Coach with fundraising and alumni/community relations
• Be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
• Other duties as assigned by Head Coach and Executive Director of Athletics
