Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Mechanical Integrity & Coatings Intern for a part-time role starting January 2027 in Peachtree Corners, GA. You will support asset reliability, equipment integrity, and corrosion protection while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned engineers.

The role targets mechanical engineering students graduating between December 2027 and May 2028, locally available to work in-office at least 16 hours per week, with opportunities to grow within a collaborative,

Mechanical Integrity & Coatings Intern (Part-Time January 2027 Start/Spring Semester)

As a Mechanical Integrity & Coatings Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting projects focused on asset reliability, equipment integrity, and corrosion protection. What are skills that would be helpful to your success as an intern?

• Graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Pursuing mechanical engineering degree or other related majors.
• Preferred intern is targeted to graduate between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Available to start as a PT Intern in January or February 2027.
• Intern must be local to the greater Atlanta area and able to be in office a min of 16 hours a week.
• Completed minimum 2+ years of coursework
• Basic understanding of engineering principles
• Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D
• Prior intern/engineering work experience highly considered
• Interest in energy and/or oil and gas pipeline system designs
• A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:

• Completion of pre interview assessments.
• College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
