Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. in Kennesaw, GA invites Mechanical Engineering interns to join its Data Center Mission Critical group. You’ll contribute to real projects supporting energy efficiency and reliability of data centers, work on design tasks, and gain hands-on experience with a collaborative team.

The role targets ABET-accredited graduates, with a May–June 2027 start window and a pay range of $24–$28 per hour. Commitment to travel and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Graduation window and start date aligned with internship timing.
• Course work in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, and Statics.
• Solid foundation in core concepts with strong communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as an intern?

• Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
• Preferred Courses: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, and Statics.
• A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview And Employment Requirements

• Completion of pre interview assessments.
• College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
