Job summary

Family Fresh Market is seeking a part-time Retail Associate in the store to greet customers, stock shelves, manage pricing and assist with checkout. You will verify incoming stock, inspect product quality and support daily store operations.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to safety and food safety standards, and ability to work collaboratively on the shop floor and with other departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of alcohol/tobacco regulations is a plus.
• Prior wine/spirits/beer knowledge helpful for product suggestions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions regarding product content, use and price.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming stock; review and document freight damage.
• Arrange shelves and displays; rotate and price products.
• Monitor inventory, assist with cycle counts, determine stocking needs, and code merchandise.
• Enter data into the system and reconcile daily receipts with sales reports.
• Process purchases promptly at the cash register and verify age if needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and backroom.
• Offer product information and selling suggestions to maximize sales.
• Follow PPE, safety, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
