Job summary

Benjamin Harrison YMCA in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Wellness Advisor I (Part Time) to help ensure member safety in strength and cardio areas and to drive initial engagement with new members. You will conduct one-on-one wellness appointments, guide members to appropriate programs, and track progress using our software.

You will lead onboarding activities, connect members to suitable wellness offerings, and follow up to support ongoing activity while maintaining a motivating, safe gym

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have knowledge of basic exercise science and wellness principles.
• Must have high school diploma. Must have skills in relationship building, being empathic, and communication in order to perform successfully in this role.
• A working knowledge of YMCA programs in wellness and other program areas is required.
• Must have a basic understanding of computer hardware and software is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of YMCA members utilizing the strength and cardio areas.
• Provide retention appointments with new YMCA members, engaging, tracking, and supporting ongoing activity.
• Assist members in reaching wellness goals through membership at the YMCA and wellness onboarding.
• Follow up with members and connect them to selected wellness programs, ensuring proper use of equipment and maintaining a safe environment.
