Job summary

YMCA seeks a part-time wellness associate to work with members seeking small group or individual fitness guidance and basic wellness information. You will help new members design programs and promote healthy living within the community.

Responsibilities include safety for members, driving engagement, offering orientations and assessments, and maintaining clean facilities while upholding YMCA policies and contributing to annual campaigns.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required
• Nationally recognized personal training certification from approved YMCA list upon hire
• Wellness certifications to be completed within defined timelines
• Must pass Level 2 Background Screening (FDLE/FBI fingerprint check)

Responsibilities

• Works to improve the health and well-being of the community served
• Improve member safety and enjoyment
• Generate personal training revenue via individual and small-group sessions
• Encourage member interaction
• Contributes to branch engagement metrics
• Provide hands-on wellness services including orientations, fitness assessments, post-rehab and adaptive wellness
• Meet goals for Fast Forward Fitness appointments
• Contribute to branch member retention
• Develop small-group interaction through planned and spontaneous programming
• Ensure cleanliness of facilities and equipment
• Articulate YMCA mission and participate in annual campaign
• Maintain weekly time/attendance records and adhere to dress code
