YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking an Associate Wellness Director at Benjamin Harrison YMCA in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on developing and implementing wellness programs while working with staff, members and participants on the front line.

The position involves 80% frontline duties and 20% coordination/administrative work, with daily supervision of Wellness staff to ensure training, program coverage and excellent member service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Wellness, Exercise Science, Health/PE or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years YMCA or similar agency experience.
• Certifications in personal training and group exercise are required/plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of designated wellness programs.
• Supervise Wellness staff, ensure training, coverage, and member service.
• Manage personnel, planning, budgeting, and record-keeping responsibilities for programs.
