Job summary

YMCA of Greater Nashua is hiring a part-time Wellness Floor Representative for the Nashua branch. You will be the front-facing presence on the wellness floor, greeting members and guiding them to programs, fostering belonging and meaningful wellness conversations.

Under supervision of the Director of Wellness, you will answer wellness questions, promote YMCA programs, and help members achieve health goals. Schedule: Late mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Current Red Cross First Aid and Adult CPR/AED certification (may obtain when hired).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Passion for health and wellness, and creating a welcoming community.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience: Greet every member warmly with eye contact and a smile.
• Build meaningful relationships: Introduce yourself and get to know members by name.
• Foster community: Connect members to each other and to staff, encouraging participation in programs and classes.
• Be a resource: Stay informed about YMCA programs and help members find the answers they need—even if it means directing them to another staff member.
• Engage with purpose: Initiate conversations to support members’ wellness journeys.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment: Complete assigned cleaning tasks and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Uphold standards: Ensure member safety and adherence to wellness center policies.
• Work as one team: Collaborate with fellow staff to provide exceptional service.
• Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with the Y’s mission.
