Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a part-time wellness attendant to serve members on the wellness floor, promote safety, and uphold the organization's values. You will assist with equipment use, monitor safety, and respond to incidents in a friendly, professional environment.

Responsibilities include engaging with diverse members, encouraging programs, maintaining equipment, and following YMCA policies and trainings to support a safe, welcoming community. CPR/First Aid training preferred at hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required at hire.
• Child Abuse prevention training required at hire.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and upholds YMCA values on program activities.
• Assist members on the wellness floor and uphold safety standards.
• Monitors equipment use and reports issues or incidents.
• Maintains clean, orderly exercise areas and equipment.
• Responds to member questions and fosters connections with the YMCA.
