Job summary

Ivy Tech Bloomington campus is seeking part-time welding instructors to teach welding beginning in August. Courses are offered in a blended format with online lectures and in-person lab one day a week for four hours, including daytime and evening sessions and some Morgan County offerings.

Adjuncts earn $46.75 per contact hour and may teach no more than 13 hours per week, delivering instruction, preparing materials, and maintaining records in accordance with college policies and FERPA.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Stick, MIG and TIG welding methods.
• Experience delivering instruction in a college setting preferred.
• Strong ability to develop course materials and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned welding classes per course objectives.
• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and materials; maintain student records and grades.
• Engage with students to foster active learning and use available technology.
• Ensure safety procedures in classrooms and labs are followed.
