Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting a Weight Management Dietitian for the Specialist Weight Management Service based at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre. The post is permanent and part-time, 14.40 hours per week, with UK driving licence required.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering weight management education and clinical care to adults with higher BMI, contributing to service evaluation and digital outreach, including student supervision.

Qualifications

• It is essential you are educated to a BSc Honors degree/postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and be registered with HCPC.
• You should have significant post graduate experience with previous clinical experience within group settings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and initiative are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and manage service users within weight management.
• Deliver 1:1 and group weight management education programmes.
• Contribute to development of patient education resources and evaluation.
• Collaborate with weight management, diabetes prevention and health improvement services.
• Supervise students on clinical placement and use digital tools to reach target populations.
