Job summary

Hour House in Charleston, IL, is seeking weekend part-time monitors to support our recovery programs. You will help keep clients safe, provide emotional support, and maintain program structure within a compassionate environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, crisis management skills, and a background in social services or related field. Preference given to those pursuing related degrees. We offer insurance, PTO, holidays, and retirement options to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or coursework in crisis intervention preferred.
• Background in social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• Ability to supervise and manage client behavior effectively.
• Knowledge of addiction recovery, case management, or childcare/behavior management techniques a plus.
• First Aid certification and medication administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of clients and facility.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to clients in recovery.
• Enforce program structure and guidelines consistently.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Transport clients in agency vehicles for work or appointments.
• Assist with client admissions and orientation to the program.
• Document client activity and progress in the electronic medical record system.
• Model professionalism and dependability in attendance and conduct.
