AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Lab Assistant I for part-time weekend coverage. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and general laboratory support to ensure timely testing and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, handling specimens, and providing customer service to patients and staff. Requires High School diploma and phlebotomy training; prior lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience and skills required.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.
• Experience with specimen processing and lab support functions.

Responsabilités

• Collects patient and test information for accurate records.
• Performs blood collection (venipuncture/capillary) as assigned.
• Processes, labels, centrifuges, stores and transports specimens per procedures.
• Provides clerical and receptionist support and assists lab customers.
• Maintains equipment, space, and supplies; participates in safety and quality initiatives.
