Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is hiring a Part-Time Days Hospital Phlebotomist. This role collects patient samples via venipuncture and microtainer, processes specimens for testing, and performs clerical duties as needed.

The position supports a busy laboratory, emphasizes accuracy, labeling, and safe handling of specimens. Ideal candidates will have phlebotomy training (and experience preferred), strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team with flexible hours, including

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training program completion required for certain positions.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports hazardous waste per regulations and training.
• Performs venipuncture and microtainer collection accurately.
• Ensures specimens are labeled and orders received properly.
• Maintains clean, organized lab workspace.
