Job summary

Dayton Children’s is seeking a part-time Mental Health Therapist for the Mathile Center’s Mental Health Unit. You will provide psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and group therapy within a pediatric setting, contributing to safety planning and treatment planning.

The role requires a Master's in Counseling or Social Work and a license (LMFT/LPC/LSW) in Ohio, with at least one year of behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work required.
• LMFT/LPC/LSW license issued by Ohio required.
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health or healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Experience with mental health or substance use disorders strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention.
• Deliver group therapy in mental health unit or day treatment.
• Perform safety planning and mandated reporting as needed.
• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans with the team.
• Collaborate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in milieu activities and group programming.
• Work independently and maintain strong organization.
• Coordinate with other hospital units to optimize patient care.
