Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Crisis Assessment Specialist for the Crisis Center. This part-time, PRN role involves emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and coordinating referrals for patients and families at the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and Ohio LSW or LPC eligibility, with CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with Ohio board eligibility/approval.
• CPR certification preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency behavioral health pre-screening.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention.
• Manage referrals and facilitate transition/admission planning.
• Collaborate with hospital divisions to coordinate care.
• Assist families in understanding and coping with behavioral crisis.
